Wheel Restoration

Wheels frame everything else the eye sees. Ghost refinishes them, including diamond-cut faces, back to a factory edge, then returns them balanced, sealed, and indistinguishable from new.

What's included

Back to a factory edge.

Curb rash, corrosion, and tired finishes are corrected in-house on the same standard as our paint work, whether it is one wheel or a full set with calipers to match.

  • Diamond-cut refinishing.Machined faces re-cut on a lathe to restore the original bright finish and profile.
  • Curb rash and corrosion repair.Damage welded, machined, and refinished rather than filled and hidden.
  • Powder coat and custom color.Durable, even finishes in the factory color or the one you have in mind.
  • OEM finish matching.Painted, machined, and polished finishes matched to the manufacturer specification.
  • Safe mounting and balancing.Tires dismounted and refitted with TPMS handled correctly, then road-force balanced.
  • Caliper and trim finishing.Calipers and accents refinished alongside the wheels to complete the corner.

The process

Five steps from curb rash to concours.

Every wheel is measured and inspected before we promise anything, because a straight, safe wheel is the only kind worth refinishing.

  1. 01

    Inspection and measurement

Each wheel is checked for runout, cracks, and prior repairs. You get an honest verdict on what can be restored and what should be replaced.

  2. 02

    Strip and repair

The old finish is chemically stripped, damage is welded and machined true, and the wheel is prepared bare.

  3. 03

    Machine or coat

Diamond-cut faces are re-cut on the lathe; painted and powder-coated finishes are applied in controlled conditions to factory film thickness.

  4. 04

    Finish and seal

Color and clear are applied and cured, sealing the face against brake dust and the elements.

  5. 05

    Balance and refit

Tires are remounted with TPMS handled correctly, road-force balanced, and torqued to specification before the vehicle rolls out.

Questions

Answered before you ask.

Can my wheel be repaired, or does it need replacing?

Inspection decides. Cosmetic damage, curb rash, and most corrosion restore beautifully; structural cracks or heavy bends in critical areas mean replacement, and we will tell you plainly which it is.

How many times can a diamond-cut wheel be re-cut?

Each cut removes a small amount of material, so most wheels accept two to three re-cuts in their lifetime. We measure before cutting and advise if a painted or powder finish is the smarter path.

Can you match my factory wheel finish?

Yes. Machined, painted, polished, and satin factory finishes are matched to specification, so a single refinished wheel sits invisibly next to its three siblings.

Can I wait while the wheels are done?

A proper refinish includes stripping, repair, and a full cure, so most sets are a two-to-four-day turnaround. We can stage the work or arrange transport so you are never without the car longer than planned.

Do you handle tires and sensors too?

Yes. Dismounting, remounting, TPMS service, and road-force balancing are all done in-house, so the wheels come back ready to drive, not ready for another shop.
